It’s day 4 of Gifts in a Tin week! In preparation for Christmas and simple and fun gift giving, I’m putting together some easy gift basket ideas for you. In case you missed yesterday’s Ice Cream Sundaes in a Tin, here it is. Today’s gift basket idea? Date Night in a Tin!
In this gift basket, I’ve used:
- a large tin basket
- glittery scrapbook paper & ribbon (for the wrapper around the tin)
- twine string
- a movie
- Coca-Cola in glass bottles
- candle
- chocolate
What are some other things you could include in a gift tin like this? What about a small board game or a card game?

I used a piece of glittery scrapbook paper to tie around my tin, but you could also use ribbon or a scrap piece of fabric. I punched small holes in the tops of the round tags, and tied them around the tin handle with twine.
One of my favourite things on this gift tin? The “leave your phones in the tin” tag! Thanks to one of my Facebook followers for that idea!
This gift in a tin would be a fun gift for a neighbor couple or for your spouse/significant other.
Come back tomorrow for another unique gift in a tin idea!
