Oh boy, do I ever have Spring fever! I’m definitely finished with the weird warm-cold-warm-cold winter that we’re having up here in Alberta. I just want the weather to make up its mind and switch right over to Spring. I’ve been really inspired lately to switch over to lighter, brighter colours in our home’s decor. So, I had a lot of fun planning out this Spring and/or Easter tablescape. This table setting idea is really simple but still fresh and pretty for Spring. It would suit any Spring gathering, or add one little touch to make it perfect for Easter Sunday. Let me show you a fresh, nature-inspired Spring table setting featuring lots of aqua blues, off whites and succulents.
This post is part of a fantastic Spring-themed blog hop hosted by Hometalk, so make sure to visit all of the other fantastic projects that are linked at the bottom of this post. There are some great ones and I bet you’ll start feeling all Spring and inspired too after browsing them! You can also watch for the hashtag #DIYMySpring on social media this week to see all of our Spring home decor and DIY projects.
The Layering Process
For this simple and fresh place setting, I started with some lovely and inexpensive fabric placemats I found at my local grocery store. I love the fringed edges and the aqua and off white stripes.
Next, I layered my simple white dishes over the placemat, and then topped those with the same DIY pom-pom napkins I made last Fall.
The final topper are some of my favourite aqua IKEA patterned bowls filled with shredded raffia ribbon and a faux succulent.
I still adore succulents. They’re just the cutest little plants, and I think faux succulents look almost as good as the real deal. Some cutlery and teal ombre drinking glasses finish off the look.
This little GIF will lead you through the easy layering process:
For an Easter setting, simply replace the succulent with an Easter egg in a nest. Voila! Easter.
A Fresh Spring Centerpiece
At the center of the table, I filled a pretty teal glass jug (here’s a similar one from Amazon) with some faux pussy willows.
I love the height and presence this arrangement gives to the table.
And that, my friends, is how I do our Spring / Easter table in a very easy and inexpensive way. I really love it!

Lovely spring table!
This is so beautiful, I really love the aqua colors you use throughout your home. I am always picking up home decor items at my grocery store, too. Lol! Its funny what I find there sometimes, especially after they mark it down after the holiday! Those succulent place settings are adorable, I am so crazy about succulents these days.
