Thanksgiving is next weekend here in Canada, and it’s one of my favourite times of year. I love the cozy feeling of Fall combined with gathering with family and friends to celebrate all of the things we’re thankful for.
Last week, I shared with you a non-traditional, colourful Fall tablescape idea that featured pinks, greens & blues on my round Trudell Table in the kitchen:
If you love shots of colour, a tablescape like this could be perfect for you for Thankgsiving this year! I truly loved these tones with my luxe green Manhattan Dining Chairs.
This week? I’m taking a more traditional approach to a Fall tablescape for Thanksgiving in my dining room.
The rich honey wood tone of our Keswick Dining Table from The Brick is the ultimate backdrop for a beautiful Thankgiving table. I opted for no tablecloth or runner for this tablescape to show off the gorgeous, textured wood of the table.
The table centerpiece is a handmade faux eucalyptus garland, and I accented it with simple white pillar candles, white baby boo pumpkins, ornamental kale, and antler sheds my friend gave to me.
In keeping with this simple, neutral & nature-inspired theme, I used white rustic chargers and neutral plates for each place setting.
An artisan bun (you can make some or cheat like I did and buy them at the grocery store!) wrapped in a DIY Thanksgiving themed paper wrapper with a spring of rosemary is a simple way to make each place setting special. You can click right here to download my Thanksgiving Bread Wrappers for free!
Simple wine glasses don’t distract from this warm & natural table, and I opted for silver cutlery to contrast with the colour of our table.
The scrolled legs of our table still get me every time! I feel like I don’t have to decorate it much for it to look elegant and beautiful.
For a little extra coziness, I draped a plaid scarf on one of my chairs and my favourite fuzzy pillow – the Mongolian Sheepskin Accent Pillow in White – on a couple of the other chairs.
Our side table got dressed for Thanksgiving too with a plaid table runner, real & faux pumpkins and some candles. In the center is our lovely Mansard Mirror that helps bounce the light around the room and adds some glam to this space. My hubby bought me a fiddle leaf fig for my birthday last week, and I love how it looks tucked in the corner of our dining room.
As much as I love colour, I sure do love the simplicity and elegance of this more traditional and neutral Fall tablescape for Thanksgiving. I can’t wait to gather with the people I love and enjoy a turkey dinner here this year!

I created a wreath from things I foraged in our backyard. Not only is it a cost-effective way to go (um, free!), but I think using nature in home decor is simply beautiful.
