Vintage Inspired Spring Tablescape Idea in Warm Pinks & Yellows

When I stumbled upon a set of vintage pink depression glassware at my local antique store, it was the inspiration for this perfectly warm pink & yellow Spring tablescape.

This table decor idea would be lovely for any Spring dinner gathering, or for your Easter festivities. I began by placing a faux eucalyptus garland in the center of the table. I then added some fullness to the garland by adding some inexpensive greenery stems from Walmart.

Next, I placed the DIY crepe paper peonies I made last week throughout the garland to give it some warm Spring colour.

White candles and candlesticks from IKEA completed this romantic table centerpiece for Spring.

The Place Setting

For the individual place settings, I layered textured white plates (from Walmart a couple of years ago) over an IKEA Rattan charger. The vintage pink glassware bowls and tumblers add soft colour to each setting.

Using my serger, I hemmed around 19″ x 19″ squares of white and grey striped linen fabric. This is an easy way to create fresh-looking napkins. Then I tied them in a casual knot to go with each table setting. 

A no-bake lemon cheesecake trifle in more vintage pink glassware sits at the top of each setting. The recipe can be found here. These are delicious little Spring desserts, and they look adorable too.

Finally, on our side table, I added some faux floral bundles in soft yellows and pinks. I found these at Walmart! Again, I added pink glassware.

 

I was worried that this pink table setting would clash with our colourful dining room rug. However, I actually love how they work together. The warm pinks and corals tie into the oranges in the rug, and the whole effect is soft and welcoming. I can’t wait to host Spring dinners here this season!
