What’s your favourite outfit to wear in the summer? I definitely LOVE wearing dresses as much as I can when the temps are warmer. They’re just so easy to throw on, and they’re so soft and cool. This dress is one of my newest favourites, and it’s really fun to make! If you’re a beginning seamstress, you could make this in a day. This DIY off shoulder peasant dress doesn’t require a pattern (just a few measurements), and it looks really cute, too!
My friend Denise Wild and I challenged ourselves to sew dresses for summer this week! Make sure to check out her YouTube channel to see the beautiful maxi dress she made.
My handmade peasant dress can be worn off-shoulder or as a boat neck. I also made a removable waist tie that instantly gives the dress a different look!
To make this dress, you’ll need 2 yards of lightweight fabric and a sewing machine. You can also use a serger on the seams like I did, if you have one. I used a chambray fabric, but I think this dress would also look beautiful in a lightweight floral or check fabric.
So cute!!
Thank you, Stacey.
