The dollar store is a great place to find Halloween decor and materials to make fun Halloween DIY projects. Here are some ideas on how you can decorate your home for Halloween on a budget!

I don’t think you need to decorate your entire home every season in order to make an impact. Choosing one or two areas to create a seasonal vignette – like a mantel, front door or side table – will make a statement!

This month, I thought it would be fun to create a spooky but cute Halloween display on our living room mantel with dollar store items. My daughters helped me create this vignette, and we all love how it turned out.

It’s a little spooky, but not too scary. It’s the perfect mix of cute and spooky! Best of all, it was fun to put together and completely budget-friendly.

DIY Ghost Banner

This DIY ghost banner was created with styrofoam balls, cheesecloth, and twine from Dollarama.

Creepy Bug Art

The creepy, crawly bug art on our mantel was made with Dollar Tree picture frames, old books, and blastic bug toys.

We found the crows, black cloth, letter board, spiders and lights at the dollar store too!

My 6-year-old daughter used double sided tape to attach some faux spiders to little white pumpkins we had on hand, and I thought that was such an adorable idea.

I hope you enjoyed these dollar store Halloween decorating ideas! Do you go all out or keep it subtle for Halloween?

  1. Your decorations were so nice. I dress up my den, and kitchen for Halloween. I started using flowers leaves wheat stems so I could go into November without having to redecorate.
