DIY LOVE Tea Towel & neutral Valentine’s Day kitchen decor ideas

Let’s make a DIY “LOVE” tea towel with a Cricut; it’s so easy! I’m also sharing some simple, neutral Valentine’s Day decor ideas for your kitchen.

Today’ let’s make this simple “LOVE” tea towel that’s a sweet kitchen accent for Valentine’s Day, or any day of the year.

Adding a seasonal tea towel to your kitchen sink area is a simple way to style it for Valentine’s Day. 

More easy Valentine’s Day touches for your kitchen could be as simple as:

• adding a candle with a heart pattern on it (I found this votive holder from the dollar store last year)
• adding some faux greenery that hints to Spring

• displaying a favourite mug that makes you think of Valentine’s Day (I LOVE this heart mug from Heart & Hand)

Let’s make a DIY HEART tea towel with a Cricut!

You’ll need:

• a Cricut Explore Air 2, Maker or Joy  machine
• this LOVE tea towel Cricut Design Space project
• heat transfer vinyl in gold
• a cotton tea towel
• a Cricut EasyPress or a household iron
• a Cricut mat

Open up this LOVE tea towel Cricut Design Space project, click “Make It”, and make sure the “Mirror” button on the left is toggled to ON. Put a piece of gold heat transfer vinyl onto a Cricut mat, and follow the Design Space instructions to cut the LOVE design onto the vinyl.

Remove any excess vinyl with your hands or a Cricut weeding tool.

Prepare a cotton tea towel by ironing it, rolling it with a lint roller, and heating it with an iron or Cricut EasyPress. Place the LOVE heat transfer vinyl design at the bottom center of the towel.

Use a Cricut EasyPress or an iron to adhere the design to the tea towel. Reference Cricut’s EasyPress heat settings for the perfect temperature and press length.

Remove the backing of the HTV, and your cute DIY towel is all done!

So simple, but so adorable.
